Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac Paul S. Amos office located in Columbus, GA, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.  If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac Paul S. Amos office located in Columbus, GA, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of insurance claims operations, quality measures, loss ratios, and financial performance drivers
  • Advanced data analytics and statistical analysis skills to identify trends, anomalies, and performance opportunities
  • Strong capability in root cause analysis to diagnose claims quality, behavioral, and process issues
  • Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create dashboards and reports
  • Ability to synthesize and consolidate multiple data sources into a single, accurate, executive-level view of claims performance
  • Skills in executive-level reporting and storytelling, translating complex data into clear, actionable Insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills to integrate analytics into business strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to assess operational and financial impacts, including effects on loss ratios and business outcomes
  • Knowledge of benchmarking, competitive analysis, and industry best practices to identify performance gaps
  • High standards for data governance, accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all analytical output topics
  • Bachelor's Degree In Analytics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 6+ years of data analytics, business intelligence, or financial analysis, preferably in claims or insurance
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for Claims data, consolidating inputs from analysts and consultants to create a comprehensive view of Claims performance
  • Lead monthly reporting and discussions with leadership, delivering insights on Claims quality and financial impacts
  • Perform advanced analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within Claims Operations
  • Conduct root cause analyses on Claims quality trends to identify behavioral and process opportunities
  • Assess Claims performance and its effect on company loss ratios
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Present complex data findings in a clear, non-technical manner to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into broader business strategies
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and actionable recommendations in all insights delivered
  • Conduct organizational research and benchmarking to identify best practices and performance gaps in comparison to competitive insights
  • Perform other related duties as required
