About The Position

As a Claims Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations of a team of Claims Analysts and outsourced vendor staff, ensuring that the department meets both client and corporate commitments. This role entails not only managing team performance and quality expectations but also providing mentorship to team members and implementing new client processes. Your leadership will be crucial, as you'll address complex claims and customer service queries while fostering an environment of growth and accountability within your team. Your impact will extend beyond routine management, enhancing client relationships and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of claim processing experience.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
  • Familiarity with MS Excel/Word and ability to learn new systems.
  • Ability to manage problems in varying situations and reach resolutions.

  • Provide mentorship and support to team members regarding claims processing.
