About The Position

Aon is looking for a Claims Manager I As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as a Claims Manager I in our Ft. Wayne, IN office. In this hybrid role, you will oversee medical and participant accident claims, supporting our K&K Insurance group within Aon Affinity. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Experience with medical or accident claims and knowledge of claims processes.
  • Innovative thinker with a focus on process improvement.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Medical, PIP or Workers Compensation claims.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assign new medical and accident claims to direct reports.
  • Supervise and training Claims Examiners, ensuring compliance with carrier requirements and internal procedures.
  • Review and manage examiner caseloads, providing guidance on complex claim issues.
  • Oversee claim payments exceeding examiner authority.
  • Conduct monthly file audits and participate in quality assurance programs.
  • Evaluate examiner performance and support ongoing professional development.
  • Serve as a liaison with clients, brokers, healthcare providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and resolution.
  • Communicate new account requirements and claims handling protocols.
