About The Position

Ecology Auto Parts, Inc. is looking to fill the role of a Claims Intake Specialist to provide essential administrative support to our safety department. This role will involve processing claims, performing follow-up calls, and interacting with both department personnel and insurance adjusters. Additional responsibilities include answering telephones, bookkeeping, filing, and providing general administrative support to the safety department. The successful candidate will bring strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a crucial position that will interact with various levels of the organization, including senior management. Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential for the Claims Intake Specialist.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) months of clerical/customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience REQUIRED
  • Strong customer service skills REQUIRED
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills REQUIRED
  • Organizational skills REQUIRED
  • Attention to detail REQUIRED
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite REQUIRED
  • Strong Excel/database experience REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • MS Access database experience PREFERRED
  • Experience processing insurance claims PREFERRED
  • Transportation/Trucking industry experience PREFERRED
  • Bilingual (Spanish) PREFERRED

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Claims Manager and perform other office tasks.
  • Customer service, problem-solving, communication, data entry, attention to detail, research, organizational skills, and time management.
  • Set up and enter new claims into the claims management system.
  • Input and review notes/diaries in claims management system as instructed.
  • Process payments.
  • Process mail; handle filing, faxing, and photocopying.
  • Review, prepare, create, and/or send letters, reports, and forms.
  • Answer and initiate telephone calls and provide customer service as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
