PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Processes and reviews subrogation claims across all lines of business and all jurisdictions within an entry level caseload and processes payment checks received in accordance with company check processing guidelines; processes the regular monthly payment recovery files; coordinates with collection agencies; and supports the Claims Recovery Team within company standards and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years of general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Claims industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assigned inventory of subrogation files with recovery.
  • Maintains a monthly diary on cadence, aligned to department service expectations and schedules; follows up to ensure timely payment.
  • Processes recoveries into various claims systems to ensure the recovery dollars are applied to appropriate claims file.
  • Works with collections agencies when appropriate to collect from at-fault parties and records details in claims file.
  • Uses technology and resources, as needed, to complete investigation.
  • Responds to clients' questions timely and professionally.
  • Approves and/or pays bills as appropriate.
  • Prepares various type status reports for clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
