About The Position

Serve with purpose and distinction as a Civilian Marine Corps Police Officer. In this vital role, you will uphold the law, protect assets, and ensure the safety and security of the Marine Corps community. Operating on a military installation, you will perform the same duties as your counterparts in local police departments, providing a stable and secure environment for service members, their families, and civilian personnel. As a Marine Corps Police Officer, you will be entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities essential to maintaining order and security on a Marine Corps installation. Your core duties will include: Conducting vehicle and foot patrols to maintain visibility and deter crime. Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Enforcing federal and state laws, as well as military regulations and installation-specific orders. Performing traffic control duties and investigating traffic accidents. Controlling access to the installation at various entry points. Engaging in community-policing activities to build trust and cooperation. Conducting preliminary investigations and securing crime scenes. Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records. Requirements

  • Be a United States Citizen.
  • Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Be able to pass a comprehensive medical examination and drug screening.
  • Successfully pass a thorough background investigation to be granted a Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrate the energy and eagerness to serve and excel in a demanding law enforcement environment.
