Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Civil Superintendent on heavy civil or utility-scale construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage union civil subcontractors and navigate union work rules.
  • Strong working knowledge of trenching, backfilling, and civil support for underground DC and MV cable installation.
  • Expertise in grading, excavation, concrete, foundations, and structural work.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting civil drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience in renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all on-site civil construction activities for assigned renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee grading, excavation, trenching, concrete, and foundation work to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.
  • Enforce strict adherence to all OSHA and company safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety briefings.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring timely performance and adherence to scope, schedule, and safety standards.
  • Monitor daily progress, productivity, and resource allocation, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project management, engineering, and safety teams to resolve field challenges efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and documentation of materials, manpower, and inspections.
  • Develop and communicate three-week look-ahead schedules and participate in project coordination meetings.
  • Promote teamwork, mentorship, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across all field operations.
