Entellus, Inc. is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our Stormwater & Drainage team in Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience with stormwater projects.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills.
  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
  • Experience developing hydraulic models in HEC-RAS and, FLO-2D.
  • Ability to prioritize special projects and daily workload to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, if required.
  • Flexibility to work partially remotely is also an option.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with QGIS, StormCAD, & SWMM.
  • Preferred experience developing hydrologic models with HEC-HMS and HEC-1.
  • Experience with other hydrology & hydraulics programs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil3D is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including 2-D modeling.
  • Manage and perform floodplain mapping and delineations.
  • Evaluate drainage issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Help develop drainage master plans.
  • Manage and perform designs of drainage facilities, including culverts, storm drains, and more.
  • Perform research, synthesize data, and write reports.
  • Manage client contact and communications for projects and tasks.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Assist in preparing proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
  • May be expected to perform fieldwork.
