About The Position

Jumpstart your civil engineering career as a Civil Project Engineer with DCI Engineers in our Coeur d'Alene, ID office. Work on grading, drainage, utilities, and road projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and gain hands-on experience while growing your skills in a supportive and innovative environment. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will work on site development projects and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of civil engineering experience
• Experience with grading, stormwater management, and utility design
• Familiarity with stormwater modeling and technical information reports
• Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships
• Effective communication skills with clients and project teams
• Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university

Responsibilities

• Perform site development design: grading, drainage, sewer, water, erosion control, and road design (including profile layouts)
• Collaborate with engineering and drafting teams to coordinate design details and construction document requirements
• Plan, schedule, and conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work
• Attend design meetings, as directed by the Project Manager
• Review submittals, prepare technical reports, perform routine conveyance calculations, and write observation reports
