About The Position

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will manage projects across various locations, including Bowling Green, FL, Bradley, FL, and St Ft Meade. This position involves financial and construction oversight of diverse capital projects, encompassing earthen embankments, overflow structures, creek crossings, and more. You will collaborate with Geotech engineering groups, environmental teams, and subject matter experts while coordinating with external engineering firms for project design and construction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management and civil engineering.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering and site development.
  • Experience with capital project management and proposal evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil or Geotechnical disciplines.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering contractors and contracting firms.
  • Familiarity with the Capital Process Management (CPM) roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project execution and ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and contractor performance.
  • Follow the Capital Process Management (CPM) roadmap, guiding projects from initiation to completion.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reports to leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop scopes of work, prepare RFQs/RFPs, conduct pre-bid meetings, evaluate proposals, and issue purchase orders.
  • Champion a commitment to an injury-free workplace by providing strong safety leadership.
  • Work closely with engineering firms during Front-End Loading (FEL) phases.
  • Define scopes of work, deliverables, and milestones for design service contracts.
  • Manage distribution of engineering deliverables to all project stakeholders.
  • Oversee and administer design contracts, ensuring compliance with quality standards, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
