About The Position

Telvero is hiring on behalf of our client for experienced Civil Field Technicians to support FTTH outside plant construction projects in the St. Louis area. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of telecom field construction experience
• FTTH or OSP fiber experience preferred
• Experience with conduit, vaults, and fiber placement
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Willingness to travel regionally (primarily St. Louis and Kansas City)
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Anritsu testing experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Support underground and aerial FTTH construction
• Install conduit, vaults, handholes, and fiber infrastructure
• Assist with trenching, boring, pull string, and cable placement
• Perform fiber and coax testing
• Read construction prints, MOPs, and BOMs
• Complete daily reports and maintain safe, inspection-ready job sites
• Operate construction equipment such as skid steers and bucket trucks
