About The Position

CME Associates, Inc. (CME) is an engineering technology firm providing comprehensive Construction Materials Evaluation and Technical Support Services. Our experts specialize in geotechnical engineering, construction materials evaluation, special inspections, geological sciences, subsurface exploration, and investigative engineering. Responsible for field investigations, special inspections, material testing, project management, performance and engineering calculations, and authoring on-time reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or related
• Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients
• Strong organizational skills
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of functions under direction of Senior Professional Engineer
• Prepare engineering studies and reports
• Perform special inspections, various field inspections, and materials testing as needed (soils, concrete, masonry, steel)
• Perform test boring/test pit observations, laboratory analysis, and preparation of geotechnical calculations and reports
• Project coordination and project management of Special Inspection and Construction Materials Testing work
• Implement Quality Assurance, and assurance of field and laboratory adherence to technical standards and applicable codes
• Engage in continuing education to develop skills and keep certifications current
