As a Civil Environmental Engineer based in our Albuquerque office, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of water infrastructure across New Mexico and the greater Southwest. Your work will directly support the planning and design of essential municipal systems—bringing safe, reliable water and wastewater services to communities of all sizes, from rural towns to urban centers. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant engineering experience in water, wastewater, or recycled water infrastructure.
  • EIT certification is required; PE licensure or the ability to obtain it within one year is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and USEPA permitting processes.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, treatment processes, and site civil design principles.
  • Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel for project meetings, fieldwork, and construction support, particularly within New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Support design efforts for water, wastewater, recycled water, and conveyance systems.
  • Perform engineering calculations, site layout, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of technical documents.
  • Contribute to the development of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental documentation.
  • Participate in construction administration and occasional fieldwork, including observations, submittals, and RFI reviews, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including municipalities and utility districts.
  • Maintain quality and consistency across technical deliverables while supporting client goals and project timelines.
