About The Position

Parsons is looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a wide variety of construction and earthwork design and analysis on challenging environmental projects.

Requirements

4-year degree in civil engineering or related field
Registered Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain licensure is required
8+ years of related experience on the civil engineering aspects of environmental projects (excavation and backfill, grading, reclamation, in situ remediation, capping, etc.) and construction oversight.
Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering design and construction.
Willingness to travel throughout Southwest Region for field work and meetings.
Knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes and practices.

Nice To Haves

Experience with contractor procurement and construction QA/QC is preferred.
Team collaboration and leadership skills

Responsibilities

Completes a variety of assignments such as design drawings, specifications, and other materials related to environmental remediation and earthwork projects (repository design, capping, grading, soil stabilization, etc.)
Development of means and methods and engineer’s cost estimates.
Prepares standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, and designs.
Performs alternatives evaluations for remedial alternatives under CERCLA.
Performs existing conditions assessment surveys.
Performs oversight of construction contractors.
Prepares and issues specifications, drawings, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Drafters, Designers, and Junior Engineers working on the same project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
