AECOM is seeking for a Civil Engineering Intern to be based in the Orlando, Florida office. Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field focus in Transportation from an accredited university with the intent to continue enrollment after the internship and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Capability in AutoCAD and/or Bentley CAD drafting software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
  • Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
  • Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
  • Work under supervision of a project manager, task lead or senior-level team member
