Your Opportunity Stantec’s multi-disciplinary office in Raleigh, NC has a great opportunity for a talented and emerging Civil Engineer. You will be assigned many different types and sizes of projects that will provide opportunities to perform civil design/analysis, plan production, specification preparation, and much more.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to maintain relationships of trust and positivity with teammates and clients
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Experience with site/civil project related permitting procedures and regulations
  • Proficiency in developing technical specifications and construction cost estimates
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or similar accredited engineering degree
  • Minimum of five (4) years of engineering experience
  • Current Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or passed examination with license pending receipt within one (1) year of hire

Responsibilities

  • Work with project team to develop construction drawings, specifications, and construction cost estimates for a variety of private, municipal, and federal projects.
  • Generate design deliverables for site layout, storm water management, drainage, grading, water and sanitary sewer utilities, and erosion and sedimentation control.
  • Collaborate with senior staff in the execution of projects and the development of business opportunities
  • Function independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to successfully achieve group goals
  • Perform calculations to analyze and design civil project components
  • Assist with research, data collection and information-gathering to support design decisions
