About The Position
ACivil Engineer V performs difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, construction, maintenance and operation of civil engineering projects; prepares and supervises the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, estimates and reports; and performs other duties as required. There are multiple vacancies in various departments in the City and County of Honolulu: Three vacancies with the HonoluluBoard of Water Supply,Capital Projects Division. Two (2) vacancies in the Design Section One (1) vacancy in the Construction Management Pipeline Section Three vacancies with the Department of Design and Construction Two (2) vacancies in the Civil Division One (1) vacancy in the Administration Division Five vacancies with theDepartment of Environmental Services. One (1) vacancy in the Collection System Maintenance Division Three (3) vacancies in the Environmental Quality Division One (1) vacancy in theWastewater Engineering & Construction Division Two vacancies with the Department of Facility Maintenance. Two (2) in theStorm Water Quality Division. The Storm Water Quality Division vacancies are located in Kapolei. One (1) vacancy with the Department of Transportation Services, Transportation Engineering Division, located in Honolulu. Requirements
- At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty.
- One year ofregisteredprofessional civil engineering experience.
- Possession of avalid license as a professional civil engineer in the State of Hawaii.
- Applicants with a current out-of-state professional civil engineer license must obtain their Hawaii license prior to appointment.
- Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required.
