About The Position

Civil Design, Inc. (CDI) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering firm offering civil site, structural, land surveying, and GIS services. Since its founding in 1996, our team has grown to over 150 team members with six locations. We operate in three states serving our six service lines - Infrastructure + Analytics, Site, Structures, Survey, Transportation, and Water Resources. We have office locations in Missouri – St. Louis and Jefferson City, Illinois – Collinsville and Effingham and Kentucky – Louisville and Prestonsburg. We are looking for a Civil Engineer- Structural (Bridge) to support our CDI mission in Building Stronger Communities. Requirements

  • Department of Transportation structures experience (bridges and walls) IDOT preferred.
  • Proficient with structural analysis and design software preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or OpenRoads.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) Licensure
  • 0 -5 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and designing transportation-related structures including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations.
  • Prepare reports, studies, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Displaying an eagerness to work on a wide variety of project types.
  • Working collaboratively with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to conduct field inspection visits while ensuring compliance with CDI’s safety procedures.
