Our Transportation practice includes the following groups: Bridge and Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Resident Engineering and Inspection, Bridge Inspection, and Geotechnical Engineering. We specialize in analysis, design, evaluation, monitoring, and rehabilitation for a wide variety of transportation infrastructure projects and private clients. We offer a wide range of expertise to support client needs for both new and existing transportation infrastructure. The Role We have an opportunity for an Engineer Intern for our Transportation Practice on our Civil Team in New York City for the Summer of 2026.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an undergraduate in B.S. Civil Engineering.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Experience in AutoCAD is helpful but not required; familiarity with Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with staff engineers to provide assistance on a variety of tasks for active projects.
  • Responsible for hydraulic analysis, roadway design, grading, drainage, quantity estimating, and drafting/detailing of civil and infrastructure elements.
  • On a day-to-day basis, you will coordinate work under the supervision of in-house staff and prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • You will have the opportunity to go on-site visits and inspections.
