AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Civil/Roadway Intern for employment in either the New Orleans or Baton Rouge, LA offices. The qualified applicant should be able to demonstrate prior experience and relevant coursework in Civil Engineering. The position provides the opportunity to support roadway and transportation design efforts for exciting, challenging, and high-profile transportation projects involving urban roadways and highways. This position provides training, guidance, and development of skills needed to acquire a Professional Engineering license.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field and must have completed at least three years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most recent school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline after the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtaining an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration is a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, GeoPak, InRoads, OpenRoads, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
