The Civil Engineer I is responsible for preparing site plans, grading plans, and various calculations (storm/water/steel/foundation) for energy infrastructure projects involving oil, gas, LNG, CNG, RNG, propane, and other energy systems. This role requires exercising discretion and judgment, applying engineering principles, and contributing to teams that help clients with energy delivery systems. The engineer will utilize computer programs for data gathering, calculations, studies, and report generation, attend client meetings, analyze various reports and drawings for project planning and design, and engage in project engineering tasks such as writing equipment specifications, sizing and evaluation, project reports, scheduling, cost estimates, and economic evaluations. The position also involves supporting proposal preparation, meticulously following quality procedures, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving, and working under the close supervision of senior staff. Progression towards Engineering Intern or Engineer In Training licensure is expected, and the role may involve representing the Company at job fairs and business development events, as well as directing the work of drafters and technicians.
