DLZ Corporation is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer – Construction Services Project Engineer to join our team in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Strong background in horizontal/vertical construction projects and materials testing.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, e-Builder, LMIS.
Valid driver's license and willing to use personal vehicle for job related work, as needed.
Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites and complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements.

Nice To Haves

Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience with City of Columbus and/or ODOT projects.

Responsibilities

Lead Projects: Manage construction projects from planning and procurement through construction and start-up.
Engage Clients: Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring expectations are exceeded.
Coordinate Teams: Oversee inspection and testing personnel, schedule field activities, and maintain equipment.
Ensure Quality & Compliance: Monitor budgets, schedules, and safety standards while maintaining project documentation.
Drive Success: Conduct progress meetings, resolve challenges, and deliver projects on time and within scope.
