At LPA you'll be part of the team that is changing the way the industry thinks about design and carbon emissions, built around the belief that we only achieve our goals when everybody has a seat at the table, and all input is valued. LPA is seeking a passionate Civil Design Intern to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. As a member of our civil engineering team, you will work on a broad range of projects from office, education and recreation buildings to complex laboratories, health care facilities, and performing arts centers. Our award-winning projects aim to have a positive and enduring environmental, economic and social impact. Completed projects include Edwards Lifesciences, County of Orange Administration, and San Marcos High School.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field
  • In pursuit of an Engineering in Training License
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the multidisciplinary design process and team environment
  • Curious and open minded to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the integrated design process with other disciplines at LPA.
  • Support project teams in tasks and duties pertaining to active projects.
  • Work within AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce design documentation.
  • Attend team coordination meetings and field visits to further understand design and project scope.
