About The Position

Join a collaborative civil engineering team shaping NYC's transit infrastructure. We're hiring a Civil Design Engineer with 6-9 years of experience to support major transit projects, including the Second Avenue Subway. This hybrid role offers technical depth, project diversity, and long-term growth opportunities. You'll work on a team of engineers and technicians to design and evaluate transit infrastructure systems. Responsibilities include preparing calculations, drawings, and cost estimates, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with design codes and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 6-9 years of civil design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Experience with stormwater management, grading, drainage, utility design, and erosion control
• Familiarity with HydroCAD and engineering calculations
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• PE certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform civil design, evaluations, and engineering calculations
• Prepare drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates
• Conduct site inspections and investigations
• Research and review design options for technical and financial impact
• Prepare engineering reports and project documentation
• Support design for subway, rail, and transit-related projects
