About The Position

As a Civil Clerk, you will serve as the first point of contact for citizens at the Sheriff's Office Civil Division. You will manage non-emergency incoming calls, provide front-counter assistance, and perform a wide range of clerical tasks in support of civil process operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years general office experience (50 WPM typing speed preferred)
  • Experience with multi-line phones; knowledge of criminal justice or civil process is a plus
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to become LEDS-certified and obtain Notary Public status
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Basic math and computer proficiency (internet and word processing)
  • Detail-oriented with sound reasoning and organizational skills
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and speaking
  • Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lbs.

Nice To Haves
