We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Civil AutoCAD Technician and Designer to join our expanding Civil Engineering Department in Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI . This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners on high-impact projects that shape communities and elevate the human experience. In this role you will: develop detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications and requirements; collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project goals and objectives and ensure seamless integration of design elements into overall project plans; create 2D and 3D models for land development infrastructure such as site layout, grading, roadways, and utilities; review and modify drawings to correct errors and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards; and maintain organized files and documentation and support in the development of AutoCAD blocks and templates for use in drawings.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree related to C3D drawing production, engineering or similar. Other drafting qualifications/certifications will be considered
  • 5+ years of AutoCAD software design and drafting experience
  • A strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Strong understanding of design concepts including earthwork, surface, site grading, pipe network, ArcGIS, etc
  • Ability to read and translate architectural floorplans and technical drawings
  • Basic understanding of building design and mechanical processes
  • High degree of detail orientation and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
