About The Position

The Citrus Club Host welcomes all patrons with an inviting smile and friendly demeanor to create an exceptional first impression upon arrival. This role’s primary focus is the management of the restaurant’s reservations and seating rotation. This role contributes to achieving Citrus Club’s operational and managerial goals by providing efficient, accurate, and welcoming service in accordance with The Dewberry’s 5-Star standards.

Requirements

  • Year round availability
  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn Resy
  • Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations and patrons
  • Ability to multitask and compete assigned tasks to ensure a smooth service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dependable work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Must demonstrate consistent punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and reach
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete assigned side work
  • Provide an immediate and sincere greeting to all patrons, and direct them to other outlets throughout the hotel as necessary
  • Utilize Resy to seat patrons in a rotational manner, ensure all reservations are accounted for and seated at the proper time, and maintain a waitlist during peak periods
  • Notify the appropriate server upon guest arrival
  • Maintain seamless communication between rooftop and ground floor hosts
  • Maintain a basic knowledge of menu items and daily specials, including ingredients and preparation
  • Provide patrons with a friendly farewell and ensure guest satisfaction upon departure
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the host stand
  • Support servers, back servers, the kitchen team, and managers as needed
  • Provide solutions to guest complaints, escalating issues to management when necessary
  • Attend pre-service lineup meetings
