Role Overview: We are seeking a senior CISO / FSO / Compliance Officer on a temporary contract-to-hire basis to lead cybersecurity and compliance initiatives, with a focus on CMMC implementation and GCC High operations. This role will drive security strategy, risk management, and compliance for DoD programs while serving as the company’s authority on facility and information security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity, compliance, or facility security, preferably in defense/aerospace.
  • Hands-on experience with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, ITAR, GCC High.
  • Experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) for DoD contracts.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field.
  • CISM, CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with GCC High, FedRAMP, or other high-assurance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead CMMC implementation and ensure GCC High compliance for defense programs.
  • Serve as CISO and FSO, overseeing cybersecurity, facility security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and incident response planning.
  • Manage audits, gap assessments, and remediation plans; interface with government regulators.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Track metrics and advise executive leadership on security posture.
