About The Position

The Cisco Voice Engineer provides dedicated engineering and operational support for a single enterprise client’s Cisco Unified Communications environment. This role is embedded with the client and focused exclusively on maintaining, supporting, and improving the client’s voice infrastructure and related services. Requirements

  • Strong expertise in Cisco Unified Communications technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise voice environments in a production setting
  • Solid understanding of SIP-based voice architectures and call routing
  • Ability to operate independently as a dedicated, embedded technical resource
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Operational mindset with a focus on stability, standards, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day engineering and operational support for the client’s Cisco Voice platforms, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), UCCX, Cisco CUBE, SIP-based voice services, and Akkadian
  • Act as a senior technical resource supporting the client’s voice operations and engineering teams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice issues in a production enterprise environment, including coordination with Cisco TAC as required
  • Develop, document, and maintain voice engineering standards for the client, including operational processes, backup procedures, and disaster recovery practices
  • Create and maintain accurate Visio diagrams of the client’s Cisco Voice infrastructure
  • Document system designs, configurations, and operational procedures for supported voice platforms
  • Collaborate with the client’s data network, voice operations, and project teams to support integrated service delivery
  • Provide technical input and guidance on voice-related initiatives and improvements
  • Support voice-related projects in coordination with assigned project or program stakeholders
