The Rutgers Law School is seeking a Circulation Desk Assistant (part-time/temporary) for the Camden Law Library. Duties include: Primarily responsible for assisting with circulation desk coverage, including but not limited to functions related to charging and discharging physical items, maintenance of records, missing books procedures, overdue or lost items notices and fines, opening and/or closing procedures, performing limited monetary transactions as needed; locating and processing materials for patron requests via online and manual systems; scanning requested documents for sending via various online systems; assisting library patrons with problems and questions; assisting in assuring accurate library shelving by shelf-reading and reshelving of materials, as needed; assisting with other general stacks maintenance. May be responsible for assisting other circulation assistants with updating print collections with pocket parts and loose leaf updates. May be responsible for guiding students or other library assistants in all aspects of circulation. Performs other circulation related duties as assigned. Work may include evenings and weekends as required.
