About The Position

The Circle of Boating Manager is responsible for carrying out Boat Club operations for the marina. The Boat Club Manager’s primary responsibility is the customer. Focusing on the smooth and efficient daily operation of Boat Club. The Boat Club Manager projects a professional company image through all types of interaction. As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work under pressure. He/She is an excellent leader and provides the highest level of customer service in a friendly, helpful manner while accurately responding to the customers’ needs. Requirements

  • 3+ years Sales Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field desired but not required.
  • Knowledge of all sizes and types of boats, as well as systems on those boats, such as engines, water, generators etc. so as to be able to answer customer questions and concerns when discussing potential sale.
  • Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds
  • Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
  • Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure boats are prepped and ready for member use prior to arrival; an hourly associate will be available to help with preparation.
  • Oversee day to day Boat Club operation of the club including but not limited to, explanation of the reservation system to members, handling club member calls with questions or concerns, and overseeing maintenance and repair of the fleet.
  • Generate revenue for Boat Club by selling memberships in the club to individuals or corporate entities. This will include cold calling, networking, and following up on leads generated through advertising and boat shows.
