About The Position
The Circle of Boating Dockhand plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of marina and dock activities. This position is responsible for assisting boaters with docking, undocking, and securing vessels, while maintaining a clean and organized dock environment. The dockhand supports daily marina operations by performing routine maintenance, monitoring safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service to boat owners and visitors. Requirements
- Ability to swim and comfort working near water.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of boating terminology and dock operations.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities
- Assist boaters with docking and undocking procedures, ensuring vessels are securely moored.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning docks, inspecting equipment, and reporting any damages or hazards.
- Monitor marina safety by enforcing rules, identifying potential risks, and responding promptly to emergencies.
- Provide courteous and knowledgeable customer service, answering questions and offering assistance to boaters and visitors.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management when restocking is necessary.
