Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. Collins Aerospace is looking for a new Power and Controls, Gear Turbo Fan (GTF) Project Engineer Co-Op to join our team! This position is within the Central Integrated Product Team (CIPT) who will interact and support small projects, collect data, perform engineering activities and general engineering analysis.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Must be a commutable distance to Windsor Locks, CT to work an onsite schedule.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the front line for the Collins Gear Turbo Fan program interfacing with the customer working in both the Collins and Pratt and Whitney systems.
  • You will bring best-in-Collins Engineering solutions and services on behalf of Collins Engineering as you support the customer in development and production work This includes development engine testing as well as production support.
  • You will support engine programs CIPT processes, included but not limited to engineering change management, supplier support as well as supporting the Collins Program Project Chiefs
  • You will coordinate, support, drive and interact with all facets of Collins from all our engineering IPTs to procurement, quality, program management and operations.
  • You will be accountable for representing Collins in the form of a CIPT to the customer as well as working internally on Collins processes and procedures to improve overall efficiencies.
