About The Position

Inside the Role As the Chief Information Officer for North America, you will develop and execute the technology vision for Daimler Truck Financial Services across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This senior leadership role is accountable for the full IT landscape supporting Digital Channels, Sales & Marketing, Credit, Risk, Underwriting, Contract Management, Customer Service, Collections, Remarketing, Accounting, HR, Legal, and Communications. This critical role is responsible for driving the enterprise-level technology strategy, lead the transformation toward a future-ready digital enterprise balancing near-term operational stability with long-term innovation and integrate AI, data engineering, automation, and advanced analytics into the regional roadmap. What You Drive at DTFS Lead with Strategic Agility and Innovation Lead the creation and execution of the North America IT Strategic Roadmap aligned with global DTFS and Daimler Truck IT strategies. Respond effectively to evolving business needs, economic conditions, and regulatory requirements. Foster a culture of experimentation, adaptability, and continuous learning across all IT teams. Champion modernization, creative problem-solving, and innovative technology solutions that advance business goals. Deliver Reliable, Customer-Focused Technology Manage service providers and continuously optimize the IT investment portfolio to ensure value, scalability, and future readiness. Oversee end-to-end service delivery for over 60 enterprise, dealer, and customer-facing applications. Establish and manage KPIs to ensure all platforms meet high standards for user experience, reliability, security, and scalability. Partner strategically with business units to deliver technology solutions that improve customer experience and business outcomes. Ensure stakeholder management by providing timely, transparent communication to senior leadership, business partners, and all IT staff. Regularly communicate decisions, strategic direction, roadmap progress, and budget status. Foster a High Performing Culture Build a culture centered on innovation, customer value, and operational excellence. Lead a regional IT organization across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, promoting trust, empowerment, and accountability. Attract, develop, and retain top talent; proactively identify skill gaps and create targeted development plans. Establish a creative, professional, and inclusive work environment that supports work-life balance and employee well-being. Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and training to enable team and individual success. Maintain strong partnerships with DTFS Global IT, Daimler Truck Global IT, and other regional technology teams. Ensure alignment between North America initiatives and global technology standards, platforms, and strategic priorities. Operational and Financial Leadership Direct and manage annual IT budgets of approximately USD $50M with fiscal discipline and transparency. Oversee IT governance, including cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity, project management, supplier management, and internal control systems (ICS). Ensure financial transaction systems have effective controls and monitors, business continuity plans are periodically tested, data retention processes are executed and security assessments executed. Support required Financial Services audit reviews and maintain regulatory readiness at all times. Knowledge You Should Bring BS/BA +10 years of experience including 4 years of management experience Over 10 years’ experience as a professional leader in IT, or system ownership Proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams. Strategic Mindset – proven ability to see the big picture, anticipate future trends, and translate strategy into action. Proven Change Leadership experience guiding teams through transformation and drives adoption of new ways of working. Notes Regarding the Position Please note this role is open for local contract only and not eligible for Expat assignment. The selected candidate will work temporarily from our Fort Mill, South Carolina office until our Ballantyne, North Carolina location opens. At that time, the role will transition to the Ballantyne office.
