About The Position

As the Hydro CIO, you will be responsible defining and executing IT strategies enabling productivity, profitability, and business line optimization for Hydro. The ideal candidate has a strong internal and external customer service mindset and collaborative approach. Experience managing initiatives across all major operating functions (engineering, commercial, construction, finance, and supply chain) is a must and having that experience within an industrial business context strongly preferred. IT leadership includes not only program implementations, strong data & analytics leadership, team management but also application support, infrastructure support, cost & financial management, cross-functional organization vitality, and vendor management. Additionally, this role comes with external customer project management execution and delivery commitments related to an external multi-year IT infrastructure project that is critical to Hydro cash flow and profitability.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering or related field
10 years of IT professional experience along with established leadership credentials
10 years of professional experience in program management, including large portfolio and financial management leading cross functional initiatives and organizations

Responsibilities

Work with Hydro Leadership Team (HLT) to drive digital solution strategy leveraging synergies where possible to drive standard work across the Power business lines.
Build relationships and own critical DT priorities to ensure seamless business operations for Hydro.
Lead Hydro IT G&A cost optimization efforts to achieve best in class cost efficiencies aligned with Hydro’s business and cost priorities.
Leverage Power-wide IT capabilities, capacity, and processes to drive scale and cost efficiencies in Hydro across Enterprise Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, high-performance computing, etc.
Define and prioritize DT projects targeted to deliver business value.
Manage financial and resourcing constraints; define budgets and targets for individual projects and annual plans for the entire organization.
Lead and manage the growing business demand of Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence driving fast, quality solutions.
Coordinate all IT SOX, Functional SOX, and External audits and requests on time.
Be accountable for preparing & distributing key application metrics & project reviews.
Develop peer, cross-functional & cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and effectiveness.
Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate / improve support processes enhancement needs and arrive at mutual, cost-effective solutions.
Initiate and drive continuous system improvements that can have maximum business impact.
Own the recruitment/performance management /career management of his/her team members.
Provide clear directions, regular feedback, coaching and fosters team spirit.
Develop and execute the enterprise technology strategy to directly support and enable the organization’s Hoshin Kanri priorities by translating long-term breakthrough and annual objectives into a clear IT roadmap and investment portfolio.
Provide strategic leadership over cybersecurity and infrastructure by establishing a resilient, technology foundation that protects critical assets, ensures high availability and aligns risk posture with strategic priorities and continuously improve architecture and operations.
Lead IT strategy and execution for dispositions by conducting technology due diligence, defining and executing integration or separation roadmaps (including TSAs, data migration, application rationalization, and infrastructure carve-out.
