About The Position

Westerman, Inc., an employee-owned company, is a multiple site manufacturer of production and storage equipment within the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Our equipment is setting new standards for performance and economics nationwide. This position will be located in Casper, WY at our JW Williams facility (a company of Westerman, Inc). This position requires employees to be on-site and work in the shop. Successful candidates will be required to live in Casper or within a reasonable commuting distance. Westerman, Inc. does not offer a relocation package, and all relocation expenses will be the candidate’s responsibility. SALARY MAY BE NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE SUMMARY Westerman is seeking a Hydro Technician with an ability to bolt up flanges and insert plugs on ASME code and non-code vessels and piping. Position includes filling vessels and piping with water and pumping to predetermined pressure. Will be required to interface with external inspectors. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all quality levels are met.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of physical steel properties.
  • Basic knowledge of quality control and cylinder processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
  • Must be able to use common tools.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepares and secures parts or cylinders for hydrostatic testing per regulatory, customer, and internal requirements.
  • Understands and follows the quality policies and procedures.
  • Ensures complete and correct setup of the system to be tested.
  • Bolts flanges to unit and fill unit with water for testing purposes.
  • Produces and verifies accuracy of test charts and other documentation.
  • Checks work for compliance to specifications.
  • Completes all paperwork required.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
