About The Position

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist is responsible for leading and supporting improvement initiatives focused on enhancing Operations and Manufacturing Systems. This role serves as a key representative of the CI function across projects related to Continuous Improvement, Product Development, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality. The CI Specialist will recommend and implement improvements to processes, workflows, and operational sequences. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and feel comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. The position interacts with a wide range of stakeholders including line associates, supervisors, quality technicians, and management. The ideal candidate demonstrates effective problem-solving abilities, strong project management skills, mathematical aptitude, and excellent organizational capabilities. A CI Specialist must be able to read, analyze, and interpret business reports, periodicals, and regulatory information. Candidates must be confident presenting information and responding to questions from managers, quality teams, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Serve as a project core team member and/or project leader for assigned initiatives.
  • Develop expertise in Lean principles and apply them to drive operational improvements.
  • Lead and mentor teams in effective root cause analysis.
  • Promote a culture of standard work through process documentation, audits, and sustainment plans.
  • Partner with operations leadership to establish daily goals and performance metrics that support operational excellence.
