Responsibilities: Responsible for the successful development and execution of specific OPEX/Lean Manufacturing projects Leads and facilitates improvement teams across the plants – often multiple teams at one time Responsible for systematic and thorough documentation of all projects, in order to share ideas across the network Reviews, measures and proactively studies KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to identify improvement opportunities Works with Quality and Operations team to find solutions to customer complaints focusing on permanent corrective action Establish and maintain monthly progress reviews in accordance with Divisional leadership requirements Communicates with other CI and Process Engineers/Coordinators across Business Units to share best practices Collaboration with Plants in the development of processes and systems to ensure sustainability of improvements Develop plans with Plant Management to complete implementation and use of Shoplogix across all sites Organize and provide technical training to plant personnel Assist Engineering with new blow molder start-ups when required Assist with training and development of plant blow mold technicians Travel will be 50% or greater Essential Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Industrial Engineering • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a process and/or product improvement focus • Working knowledge of the blow molding process, molding equipment, materials and tooling • Working knowledge of formalized lean manufacturing practices and tools • Strong team player / ability to build collaborative relationships • Strong communication skills • Ability to travel 50+ percent of the time Other Desirable Requirements/Attributes: • Six Sigma certification • Strong Project Management and execution skills • Strong analytical, computational, and problem solving skills • Strong PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) • Strong business acumen Physical Requirements: • Ability to be on feet 8-12 hours per day • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb • Ability to work in confined spaces • Ability to lift up to 35lbs • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment, 90 plus degrees.
