About The Position

Inside the Role Role Summary Drive cross‑functional CI projects and create standardized kitting and packaging processes that improve throughput, safety, quality, and cost. Working under the CI Manager and in close partnership with the Industrial Engineer, this role builds kitting methods, stationing, crew/takt targets, and changeover plans; authors SOPs and visual work aids; and leads pilots, training, and sustainment across packaging lines and distribution areas. This role provides support for the Ci Manager related to assisting in trainings, identifying opportunities, promoting a positive Lean Culture and executing plans with follow up and support to facility needs. Nice To Haves

  • Lean/CI toolset (A3, 5S, SMED, VSM, standard work combination, error‑proofing).
  • Experience with WMS/EWM
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft office, Outlook, etc.)
  • Should be a self – motivated person with the ability to multi-task.
  • Exposure to packaging engineering or Pack Spec interpretation; familiarity with corrugate, dunnage, labeling.
  • Confidence running pilots/first‑articles and coaching frontline teams.
  • Proficiency with time study methods, standard work, and basic facility/line layout concepts.
  • Hands‑on experience authoring SOPs and training operators.
  • Data literacy (Excel/Power Query/BI); ability to compute savings and ROI with Finance.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication and facilitation in a live operations environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead CI charters from problem definition through sustainment (A3/Kaizen).
  • Design and document kitting processes: station assignments, material flow, crew size, takt/target rates, and standard works.
  • Partner with Packaging Engineering to translate Pack Specs into efficient, repeatable run setups; ensure manufacturability/packability.
  • Execute time studies and SMED/changeover reduction; quantify savings and lock in methods.
  • Build visual SOPs, first‑article checklists, and line side visuals; train supervisors and operators.
  • Coordinate trials/pilots for new processes, MHE, carts, pick stands, ticket caddies, and tooling; collect data and implement improvements.
  • Measure and report results (throughput, changeover, labor variance, quality, safety); maintain savings ledger and evidence package.
  • Support first‑article builds and post‑run reviews; drive corrective actions with Ops, Quality, and Safety.
  • Contribute to space utilization, and layout tweaks in partnership with the Industrial Engineer.
