About The Position

Fluidra is looking for a Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to join our team in Portland, TN. WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE The CI Engineer - OpEX will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize performance. This role will lead improvement activities in the manufacturing facilities of NA. Enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness by evaluating manufacturing processes for product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools to define, develop, and document manufacturing process to create work instructions, process flow maps and Standard Work. Establish processes and specify related equipment, Fixtures and tooling. Confers with equipment vendors and solicit observations from operators to support continuous improvement initiatives. Improves manufacturing by analyzing workflows, space requirements, and equipment layout to identify and propose solutions for areas of inefficiency. Analyze production, labor, material costs, future requirements, and production schedules to prepare reports and presentations with recommendations for senior management. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of improvement initiatives. Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives directly or indirectly related to Company strategy. Collaborate with quality and other cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities to address operational inefficiencies. Hands on Improvement implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives. Exercises extreme ownership. All other Manufacturing support needs requested by management.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or related roles.
  • 5 + years’ experience working in Manufacturing operations required.
  • 5+ years’ in Lean, CI methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and other CI methodologies.
  • Proven ability to analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • High mechanical apitude.
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) Preferred
