CHT in Training/EMT/Paramedic/LPN
About The Position
This position will start in a wound care technician role and grow into a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist. Prerequisite requires an EMT/Paramedic/LPN/Respiratory Therapist certification to qualify - training provided for the right candidate. Salary increase will follow successful completion of CHT certification. Under the direction of the Clinic Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse, will perform tasks supporting delivery of patient care. While performing tasks, under the supervision of the Clinic Nurse Manager or Registered Nurse, strong customer service skills are essential with internal and external customers. Position will provide clinical and operational support during the delivery of patient care. Prepares patients for examination, procedures, and takes vital signs records in the Electronic Medical Record. Supports front desk operations as necessary. In collaboration with the Clinic Nurse Manager, facilitates ordering of medical supplies. Participates in maintaining a safe patient environment at all times.
Requirements
- EMT/Paramedic/LPN/Respiratory Therapist certification
- Must complete and pass required medical screening, background checking and drug test
Responsibilities
- Escorts patient to examination room, completes vital signs, removes dressings, takes pictures of all wounds appropriately, positions patient comfortably for nursing and medical examination, and uploads information into EMR as per HIPAA
- Assists in delivery of care with physician/nurse as
- Facilitates patient process and flow in a timely
- Maintains a neat, clean and organized work environment, assisting colleagues as
- Responsible for providing support in hyperbaric unit as
- Maintains visual observation and/or audible contact with the hyperbaric control panel and patients in hyperbaric chambers at all times. Provides report to Hyperbaric Technologist regarding patient's condition and
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and required in-services.

- Successfully completes the 40-hour Introduction to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy course within the defined time frame
- Works diligently toward completing 480-hour clinical internship
