About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Chrome Technician in Richmond, Virginia. The Chrome Technician is responsible for producing high quality polish and/or chrome application repairs to hydraulic cylinder components. Seeking candidates with previous experience in a related position; High school diploma or GED, preferred. Requirements for the Chrome Technician position include: Thorough knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of chemical processes and transformations that occur. Knowledge of chemical interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods. Must be able to use and read calibrated tools. Must be able to operate equipment required to perform this job. Must have good trouble shooting skills. Strong mechanical aptitude. Self-starter able to work with limited supervision. Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software. Must be able to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders. Excellent customer satisfaction skills. Must be able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to occasionally operate heavy machinery. Must be able to additional hours to meet business and customer demands. Must be able to positively interact with supervisor and to understand problems and concerns relating to a repair. Requires good communication skills. Must be able to work as an integral part of a team. Promote a positive customer experience.
