About The Position

The CHIRP Research Administrator will assist with the operations of multiple grants/projects for psychology and neuroscience faculty within the Center for Health Innovation, Research and Policy (CHIRP).

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s level preferred; bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of operational and project management experience, preferably in a research environment, and related to Psychology/Neuroscience research. Experience with budgeting, purchasing and ordering, in an academic or research organization. Experience with supervising and management of student workers. Experience with database and reporting software. Experience with IRB submissions and modifications, preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Proven ability to communicate successfully with team members, students, faculty and administrators. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and juggle competing priorities. Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IRB submissions and modifications, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Psychology/Neuroscience Principal Investigators, and the CHIRP Assistant Director.
  • Supervise and manage student research assistants including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling.
  • Assist the CHIRP Assistant Director in day-to-day operations of CHIRP, including contracts, procurement of equipment and supplies, related to the Psychology/ Neuroscience faculty.
  • Assist with data collection, coding, analysis, manuscripts and presentations for Psychology/Neuroscience research. Additionally, assist with conducting interviews and consents/assents and other applicable study screenings.
  • Assist with the development of protocols, IRB submissions, compliance reviews, grant reports and troubleshooting for the Psychology/Neuroscience faculty.
  • Assist with project set-up and management in REDCap.
  • Other duties as assigned.
