About The Position

Since 1969, MACT Health Board’s mission has been to improve the health status of the American Indian and Alaskan Native population. Our goal is to continue to provide high quality care to our patients throughout a variety of services, including Medical, Behavioral Health, Chiropractic, Dental, Optometry, Massage Therapy, Women’s Health, and more. We are seeking a skilled Chiropractic Assistant for a Full Time role working in a clinical setting. As a member of the health care team, the Chiropractic Assistant provides administrative support, clinical assistance and patient relations at MACT clinics for our Chiropractic staff. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of Chiropractic Assistant experience
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).
  • An awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for upcoming patient visits, ensure reports, labs, and info are in system
  • Clean exam rooms and patient areas between visits and after hours
  • Escort patients, take vitals (weight, BP, pulse, temp, O₂), and document in chart
  • Assist provider during exams and procedures
  • Maintain and inventory medical equipment and supplies; restock rooms
  • Facilitate and log labs, X-rays, consults, referrals, and reports
  • Maintain infection control (autoclave instruments, log testing)
  • Handle calls/messages; provide feedback to patients, physicians, pharmacies
  • Comply with MACT policies and maintain excellent customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Participate in QA/QI activities
  • Inventory and document emergency carts monthly
  • Create recall lists, abnormal lab logs, and high-risk lists
  • Conduct monthly quality improvement reports/audits (HEDIS, GPRA, etc.)
  • Adhere to MACT Corporate Code of Conduct
