Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • State Certification or enrollment in an approved course of study to include 20 observation hours and 520 clinical hours of in-office training to become State Certified within one year of employment.
  • Certification in CPR and/or First Aid. Must be maintained throughout employment.
  • 1-year experience in office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care.
  • Tact and skill in patient management.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
  • Take vital signs of patients.
  • Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
  • Accurately and legibly document modalities performed and subjective patient comments on progress notes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms at all times.
  • Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment.
  • Launder towels, gowns, heat pack covers, etc. as required.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies.
  • Assist in general office operations as needed including filing, prepping charts, answering phones, patient registration, posting charges, scanning, cleaning, etc.
  • Travels to other locations as directed to maintain adequate coverage for quality patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining office in neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed and/or as necessary.
