Summit County is seeking a Seasonal Chipper who will be responsible for removing hazardous brush and timber around designated communities at risk to wildfire throughout Summit County. This position requires the use of chainsaws, chippers, and other hand tools to dispose of debris. This is a full-time, non-benefited position. Ideal applicants will be hard working and in excellent physical condition, able to continuously lift 50 pounds, able to function well in a group environment, and must be 18 years of age or older. Training will include chainsaw operation, chipper use, pruning techniques, and hazardous fuel identification. Preference will be given to individuals with chainsaw operation experience.
