About The Position

The Rehanger is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line.

Requirements

• Able to lift birds weighing 5-6 pounds continuously.
• Must be able to push tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs.
• Able to keep up with the line speed.
• Able to tolerate cold temperatures (an average of 38-60 degrees).
• Able to perform duties while standing for the duration of the shift.
• Able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
• Able to work in a wet, cold, and damp area.
• The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Rehire Consideration: Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire. 180 days (6 months) waiting period.

Responsibilities

• Grab birds off the conveyor
• Lift and hang birds by their legs on moving shackles
• Be able to hang approximately 32 birds per minute
• Other duties as assigned
