About The Position

Chiller Rehanger JOB SUMMARY: The Rehanger is responsible for maintaining a steady supply of birds moving into the Debone department on the Stork cut-up line. DUTIES: Grab birds off the conveyor, lift and hang birds by their legs on moving shackles. Be able to hang approximately 32 birds per minute. Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Able to lift birds weighing 5-6 pounds continuously. Must be able to push tanks weighing 800-1000 lbs. Able to keep up with the line speed. Able to tolerate cold temperatures (an average of 38-60 degrees). Able to perform duties while standing for the duration of the shift. Able and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment. Able to work in a wet, cold, and damp area. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Rehire Consideration: Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire. 180 days (6 months) waiting period.
