About The Position

The Children, Youth and Family Program is looking for a childcare provider who is an experienced worker and is able to work part time evenings and weekends. To be a successful childcare provider, you should enjoy being around children and feel comfortable juggling multiple behavior challenges. The person must also exhibit a strong belief and commitment to FPC’s mission and vision throughout all interactions. The time frame for Tues/Wed/Thurs evenings: 530p - 830p, Saturdays may vary (typically 9a - 1p)

Requirements

• Experience working with children aged 0 to 8 needed.
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
• Superb multitasking abilities and sound judgement skills
• Physical demands such as sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary
• Candidates will be required to undergo and successfully pass a background check prior to hire
• Bilingual required
• Minimum high school diploma and 3-5 years proven experience working with children
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interact with children and help provide a safe and fun environment.
• Responsible for helping babies with basic needs including feeding and changing if needed.
• Manage behavioral and developmental challenges in children using positive behavior management techniques
• Assist with distributing snack, activities and cleanup as needed
