About The Position

Soccer Shots is seeking a passionate part-time Youth Soccer Coach to serve children ages 2-8. This role is described as rewarding, involving laughter and physical activity, and making a difference in children's lives. The program focuses on age-appropriate soccer skills, character development, and fun. Coaches are expected to bring enthusiasm and creativity to sessions, utilize expert-created curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques, and foster a safe and inclusive environment. The company emphasizes a supportive environment for its coaches, offering opportunities for career progression and a comprehensive paid training program, with no prior experience required. Local candidates only, as no work status or visa sponsorship is available.

Requirements

Genuine passion for children and sports
Safety conscious
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills
Must be available to work one day out of the weekend
A full ten-week commitment is required to take on a lead role

Responsibilities

Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity
Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down
Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling
Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers

The training rate is $22.50/hour
After completing training, pay is $25/hour (including admin and setup/breakdown time)
Pay can be up to $35/hour through advancement
